about

"There is a spaceport in Saskatoon, Canada. Shooting Guns shoot you with their latest release, Brotherhood of the Ram, right into space. At the first song, they start to groove around in orbit.

But then they start the warp drive at Motherfuckers Never Learn to really bring you to places far away in universe. Steady rocking pumping beats, behemoth sounds driving you into space.

And there you are, reached planet Krautrock, then diving into the sea of planet Peace. Soft, groovy sounds with lovely organs and synths let you swim around, very laid back.

But afterwards, the warp drive is used again at No Fans, letting you fly through the galaxies, passing a black hole, and reaching our home planet, or is a parallel universe!?

The sounds of Brotherhood of the Ram are so multifaceted, every time I listen to this release it blows my mind in another way.

If you like bands like Carlton Melton, Pharaoh Overlord, or Camera, this recording is highly recommended for you!"

about

Shooting Guns Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Shooting Guns are hard at work fortifying the heavy end of the psychedelic spectrum. Hailing from the subarctic wasteland of Saskatoon, SK, they haunt the foggy moor between Sabbath-styled doom riffery and heavy pulse-riding kraut-rock.

Their debut LP, Born To Deal In Magic: 1952-1976, was nominated for the Polaris Prize in 2012 and the 2nd LP, Brotherhood of the Ram, was released in Oct 2013.
